Wikimedia Foundation _ Multimedia Designer

I use design and creative coding to support the mission of the Wikimedia Foundation (the nonprofit that hosts Wikipedia) of free knowledge for every single human being in the world. The projects range from designing a research report about movement organizers, to producing and editing a video about structured data on Wikimedia Commons to make a collection of over 60 million freely usable media files accessible to all people, no matter what language they speak, to showcasing, through data, the important role of Wikipedia as a reliable source of information amidst a global pandemic.

Browser extension to demonstrate what can be inferred about your personality from your online activities + consumption. Public release during New Museum’s program NEW INC. Funding from NYC Media Lab The Combine, Shuttleworth Foundation Flash Grant, Mozilla Foundation and Open Society Foundations.

Web / UI design of this creative community‘s complete relaunch in April 2014. The design work was so robust that the interface looks unchanged in 2020. Exploration of mobile app design + interaction. Responsive Web Design. Worked remotely from Germany as the sole Designer in Product Team of 5-7 Developers.
