For Wikipedia’s 20th birthday I designed and developed the webpage about the movement behind the free encyclopedia. This also includes the data subpage featuring most viewed and most edited articles from the last 20 years. These pages were translated from English into 6 languages.

This Wikipedia 20 Web Hub was promoted as banners on English Wikipedia, Spanish Wikipedia, German Wikipedia (except in Germany), Russian Wikipedia, Chinese Wikipedia, French Wikipedia and Arabic Wikipedia. It was visited over 4 million times in the week after launch.

I used the Wikimedia’s Recent changes API. Code can be found on Github (there is also code written by others for other parts of the Wikimedia Foundation website where the Wikipedia 20 webpages lives). The tech stack includes PHP (WordPress), Javascript, SCSS, D3.
